Surgery Center FAQs
Surgery Centers are facilities where surgeries that do not require a hospital admission are performed. They provide a cost-effective and convenient environment that is less stressful than the large hospital environment. At Eastside Surgery Center, you and your surgeon have the convenience of all your orthopedic services provided within one facility to assure optimal coordination of your care.
Eastside Surgery Center staff will call you the day before your surgery and tell you the time to be at the Surgery Center. If you have not received a call from the staff by 3:00pm on the day prior to your surgery, please telephone (425) 216-7000 and ask about your surgery.
You may have a full evening meal the night before your surgery, but do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your surgery date. Also, please follow any other specific instructions your surgeon may have given you.
Please call the Surgery Center at (425) 216-7000, and your surgeon’s office as soon as possible. If you call after hours of business, an answering message will instruct you in leaving a message.
The staff at your surgeon’s office will be able to help you answer these specific questions regarding coverage. The clinic’s Surgery Scheduler will have been in contact with your health plan regarding eligibility requirements and will assist you with your arrangements.
Please bring all insurance information with you including your insurance card and drivers license. Also, wear comfortable clothes that are easy to put on and off, for example, shirts that button up the front or loose fitting slacks. Please leave all valuables at home. Try to plan ahead, depending on the type of surgery you are having.

Due to the need for privacy, we suggest that a limit of one or two family members visit the patient during the postoperative phase. The nursing staff will be happy to give family members waiting outside the recovery area periodic updates on the patient’s condition.
This depends on the individual’s surgery, and your physician or Surgery Center staff can be more specific. There is beverage and light food service available, if desired, in the building’s lobby.
