
Dr. Clinton received her medical degree from Georgetown University where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She then remained at Georgetown for her orthopedic surgery residency. During her residency, Dr. Clinton assisted on a project aimed at decreasing the incidence of ACL injuries in female high school athletes. Following residency, Dr. Clinton completed an advanced fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the world famous Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
While a fellow at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Dr. Clinton assisted the team of physicians for the WNBA New York Liberty, helped cover the WNBA pre-draft camp, and assisted in the care of many other recreational, high school, college, and professional athletes. In addition, she spent time working with orthopedic surgeons in the Women's Sports Medicine Center, the first of its kind in the country, and with many leaders in the field of sports and shoulder surgery. Dr. Clinton is actively involved in research and has been called upon to present at national meetings, she is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Clinton grew up in Seattle and graduated from Seattle Prep. She then attended the University of Notre Dame where she played on the women's soccer team. She is happy to be back in the Northwest and as the only female orthopedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery on the Eastside, and is looking forward to helping patients and athletes get back to their activities of choice. Dr. Clinton sees patients out of the Kirkland office.
