On Saturday, March 26th, EOC surgeons gathered in the Evergreen Hospital Medical Center Auditorium to speak at Doctors Demystify The Shoulder – a lecture series throughout 31 US cities. The audience consisted of physical and occupational therapists who, in return, received 6 hours of CE credit.
EOC surgeons Richard Angelo, Camille Clinton, Robin Fuchs, and Ron Gregush all spoke at the event about numerous shoulder conditions ranging from disorders and injuries, fractures, and replacements.
Lectures and events are an excellent experience for both the learners and the speakers. “The events are good to meet local therapists and hear about what other people do and their experiences. People always bring up some interesting topics of discussion,” said Dr. Clinton.
The informality of these events are more appealing not only to the learners, but to the speakers as well. “I really enjoyed speaking to other healthcare professionals and discussing these topics after the presentation. I enjoyed the informal setting for questions and answers,” said Dr. Fuchs.
Dr. Gregush felt that the OTs and PTs got a lot out of the program. “It was great to have the opportunity to speak to an audience that was so enthusiastic about the subject matter and eager to learn. Everyone seemed very interested.”
